Law
School and Your Future Career Choices
You
widen, or narrow, your future opportunities in the law by:
-
the decisions you make concerning law-related study and
employment before and law school;
-
your application strategy and your consequent choice of
law school;
-
your performance level during law school, especially in
the critical first year; and
-
your choice of activities, including work, internships and
volunteer service throughout your law school career.
My
goal as your prelaw advisor is to help you to earn the widest
possible range of excellent choices in the initial phase of
your legal career, as a result of careful decision making
in these areas. The legal profession rewards thoughtful and
successful competition in such efforts, and emphatically punishes
those who make poor decisions. You do not have to learn the
"rules of the game" the hard way.
